A soft, splintering deck is a liability nobody wants underfoot. We dismantle old decks down to the posts and footings and haul every board away, leaving a clean, safe surface behind.
Call (256) 967-3054Free quote · Fast pickups across the ShoalsWood decks take a beating from Alabama humidity and sun. Boards cup and splinter, railings loosen, and eventually you find yourself testing each step before you trust it. Whether you are replacing it, building a patio in its place, or clearing it off a home you are selling, we tear the structure down and remove all of it.
Demolition is more than swinging a hammer. We take a deck apart in an order that keeps the work safe, especially on raised or second-story decks, and we protect siding, doors, and landscaping along the way.
We strip the surface boards, then work down through the framing to the posts and footings. Ledger boards fastened to the house are detached carefully so the siding is not torn up. Concrete footings can be dug out when you want the ground clear for whatever comes next. Everything is loaded as we go, and we rake and sweep the area before we leave.
We separate deck screws, joist hangers, and other metal hardware for scrap recycling. Pressure-treated lumber is disposed of at the proper facility. If any boards are still sound and you want to salvage them, we can stack them aside instead of hauling them off.
The price reflects the size of the deck, its height, and how much material it produces. A small ground-level deck is a quick job; a large elevated deck with stairs and footings is more involved. We look at it, hand you a single firm number, and that is what you pay. There is no hourly clock and no add-ons sprung on you at the end. If you also want an old concrete pad underneath removed, we can include it.
We take down decks across the Quad Cities and throughout Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, and Lawrence counties. Storm-damaged decks and partial tear-offs are welcome too.
Deck demolition looks straightforward until a section gives way sooner than expected or a raised platform shifts underfoot. Taking the boards, joists, and posts down in the right order is what keeps the job from turning into an injury, especially on elevated decks over sloped ground. Our crew works that sequence every day, protects your siding and plantings as we go, and clears every splinter and screw so the area is genuinely safe to walk when we leave.

Point out what's going and relax — it all gets hauled out, from upstairs bedrooms to packed crawl spaces.
You hear the full cost before we touch anything, priced by how much space the load fills — no surprises.
Call in the morning and same-day pickup is often open; next-day is standard across the Shoals.
Usable furniture and appliances go to local charities, metal to scrap yards — dumping is the last resort.

From one couch to a whole warehouse — homes, rentals, offices, storefronts, and job sites.
Yes. Elevated decks are common jobs for us. We dismantle them in a safe sequence and protect the house and landscaping while we work.
We detach ledger boards carefully to minimize any impact on the siding. Some patching may be needed where it was fastened, which we will point out when we assess the deck.
We can. If you want the ground clear for a patio or new build, we remove the footings and include that in the quote. Just mention it when you contact us.
It depends on the deck's size, height, and material. We provide one flat up-front price after assessing it. Call or text (256) 967-3054 for your estimate.
