How the tear-down goes

We strip the surface boards, then work down through the framing to the posts and footings. Ledger boards fastened to the house are detached carefully so the siding is not torn up. Concrete footings can be dug out when you want the ground clear for whatever comes next. Everything is loaded as we go, and we rake and sweep the area before we leave.

Recycling and disposal

We separate deck screws, joist hangers, and other metal hardware for scrap recycling. Pressure-treated lumber is disposed of at the proper facility. If any boards are still sound and you want to salvage them, we can stack them aside instead of hauling them off.

The price reflects the size of the deck, its height, and how much material it produces. A small ground-level deck is a quick job; a large elevated deck with stairs and footings is more involved. We look at it, hand you a single firm number, and that is what you pay. There is no hourly clock and no add-ons sprung on you at the end.
