Fence Removal in the Shoals

Sagging pickets, rusted chain-link, and rotten posts make a yard look tired. We pull the whole line out, footings and all, and haul the mess away so a fresh fence can go in clean.

Clearing the old line so the new one goes up right

Taking out an old fence is heavier work than it looks. Posts are usually set in concrete, panels are held together with years of stubborn hardware, and once it is all on the ground you still have a long pile of debris to deal with. We handle every part of it, from prying the first panel to sweeping the last splinter.

Removing an old fence before a new one goes in also gives your installer a clean line to work with, which usually makes their job faster and your new fence straighter.

Fencing we remove

How we take a fence down

We work the line section by section, detaching panels and pulling posts. Concrete footings get dug or levered out of the ground rather than snapped off at grade, so you are not left with hidden stubs to trip a mower or a future post-hole digger. All of it gets loaded up, and we rake the line clean.

Recycling the materials

Chain-link, metal posts, and iron are sorted for scrap recycling. Clean wood is disposed of responsibly, and any reusable panels or gates can be set aside if you want to keep them. Our aim is to divert the metal rather than send everything to a single pile.

How pricing works

Fence removal is quoted by the length of the run, the material, and whether posts are set in concrete. A short stretch of chain-link comes out quickly; a hundred feet of privacy fence with deep footings is a bigger job. Either way we walk the line, give you one firm up-front number, and stick to it. No hourly meter, no vague estimates.

Serving the Shoals and the Quad Cities

We remove fencing across Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, and the surrounding counties of Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, and Lawrence. Whether you are replacing a storm-battered privacy fence or opening up a property line, we can usually get you scheduled soon.

Old fence out before the new one goes in

Timing matters on fence jobs. Pulling the old line even a day or two ahead of a new installation keeps the two projects from colliding and gives your installer clean, open ground to set fresh posts. We are happy to coordinate around that schedule. And if the fence you are removing came down in a storm or is leaning into a neighbor's yard, clearing it quickly is one less point of friction on the property line.

How It Works

1Tell us what to haul — a quick call, a texted photo, or the online form all work.
2We set an arrival window and hand you a flat, all-in price before we lift anything.
3Our crew hauls every piece out — attic, basement, garage, curb, or backyard, no help needed.
4Same trip, it's gone; usable goods go to Shoals charities and scrap metal to recyclers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you pull the concrete footings too?

Yes. We remove posts and their concrete footings rather than cutting them off at ground level, so you are not left with hidden stubs where your new fence needs to go.

Can you coordinate with my new fence installer?

We can. Many customers have us clear the old line a few days before installation. Just tell us your timeline and we will work to have it clean and ready.

How is fence removal priced?

By the length of the run, the material, and whether posts are set in concrete. We give one flat up-front quote after seeing it. Call or text (256) 967-3054 for a number.

Do you recycle chain-link and metal fencing?

We do. Chain-link, metal posts, and iron are separated for scrap recycling whenever possible, so the metal stays out of the landfill.
